When babies cry, adults are motivated to do something to address their displeasure or eliminate their discomfort. That’s just how we are wired, to pander to the needs of our young.
Alas, the efficacy of your tantrums is inversely proportional to your age. The older you get, the less others are invested in making your life work. It becomes your job. As obvious as this should be. You’d be amazing how often people think that if they are miserable enough, or bitch and moan loudly enough someone will be motivated to do something about it.
It doesn’t work like that.
Nobody cares. They just tune you out.
You need to take responsibility for your own misery and pleasure. The world owes you nothing. So you may as well wear that crown with enthusiasm and become the mistress of your destiny.
